This Privacy Policy explains how HaliteHomes, operated by Halite Investments LLC (“we,” “us”), handles your information. HaliteHomes is a local-first app: it is designed to keep your data on your device.

The short version

• HaliteHomes does not require account creation.
• HaliteHomes does not use ads.
• HaliteHomes does not use analytics or tracking at this time.
• We do not sell your data.
• Your property data stays on your device unless you choose to export or share it.

What data the app stores

Information you enter is stored locally on your device, including property and home records, property profile details, notes, documents, repairs, receipts, appliances, maintenance tasks, insurance and warranty records, technology/device records, and any smart-home or device access credentials you add. We do not receive or store this information on our servers — we do not operate a server for your app data.

Exports and backups

You may create PDFs or an encrypted backup file and choose to share or save them outside the app (for example, to your files, email, or another app). Once you share an exported PDF or backup outside HaliteHomes, that file is handled by you and by the receiving app or service, under their terms — not this policy. Keep backup passphrases safe; a forgotten passphrase cannot be recovered, and exported files that contain device passwords/access codes should only be shared with people authorized to access the property’s devices.

Purchases (Google Play Billing)

On Android, HaliteHomes may use Google Play Billing to offer optional in-app purchases. If you make a purchase, Google Play may process purchase information under Google’s own policies. HaliteHomes does not send your property records, tenant information, document contents, smart-home/device passwords, or backup contents to Google Play Billing. The billing process only involves purchase/entitlement information, not your property data.

Permissions

The app may request device permissions you initiate — for example, to take or choose a photo for a record, or to open the share sheet to export a file. These are used only for the action you start.

Children

HaliteHomes is intended for general property and home management and is not directed to children.

Security

We design HaliteHomes to keep data on your device and to encrypt backup exports with a passphrase you choose. No app or method of storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. Protecting your device and your exported files is an important part of keeping your information private.

Future features

If we add features such as cloud sync or online lookup in the future, we will update this policy before those features are released.
